Justice

Everything we do, from actions to thoughts, from expressions and representations (like shouting, art) to physical movements (like walking or basically, evolving within the “physical” world) is dependent on how we judge. (I think)

From judging whether you are going to make that jump, to judging where the glass is when your hand moves to pick it up, from judging whether you should wear a jumper because of the weather to judging what you eat, from judging whether to punch someone in the face, or walk way, from judging whether someone is sincere or taking the piss, everything that I can think of is a matter of judgement.

And we have the capacity (curse or blessing, depending on how you look at it) of being able to do so consciously. (and of being aware of that, and of being aware that we are aware and so on)

It doesn’t mean we always do, in fact most of the time we don’t, but we can.

And as soon as you do so consciously, it means not only that you are able to position things in 3 dimensions, estimate how long, how high, how large, how close or far, estimate how much weight something has, you are able to do so in 4 dimensions, through time, how long something lasts, when did it happen, what will happen in the future, but also (don’t know how to assign an axis to this one) estimate and judge whether the consequences of someone or something’s actions will benefit other things or people and relate that to abstract concepts that also have value such as right or wrong (things that do not exist “right or wrong” isn’t something that exists, there is no “right or wrong” that you can define in a “existential way”, there is no matter or energy that makes up “right or wrong”, is there?). (fuck me that was a long sentence lol)

All of this (if you choose), consciously.

And what that means is that, according to the judgements that you make yourself, so must they be applied to yourself in the same way you apply them to anything and everything else.

Which means when you judge, you develop a responsability, if you are able to judge, you will be held accountable for your actions according to and to the degree that you are able to judge.

So a kid that is not able to judge very well won’t be held accountable in the same way as an adult who is.

Held accountable by who? Well for a start by yourself, if you were to be thorough in your judgements, but of course, by anyone or anything that has the capacity to judge.

Does that make sense?
